It was with great honor to sit and watch the United Nation’s Secretary General bring together the world’s six largest advertising agencies (Havas, Publicis Group, Omnicom, Dentsu, WPP and IPG) for the Common Ground Initiative to achieve what is known as the Sustainable Development Goals. This is quite an ambitious task.
As the Brexit vote has just taken place, Secretary General Moon reminded us it is only through working together, we are stronger. We don’t exactly know what Brexit will mean for the economic future of the world. But what is clear is the importance for everyone to NOW support the end to Poverty, Hunger and Climate Change. We are using more of the earth’s resources then the earth can regenerate itself to provide for Humanity.
As a writer with the ListenGive media network, I have the humble opportunity to be at the United Nations for meetings daily and share that knowledge through writing. It is through the Common Ground Initiative along with the Advertising Agencies, Creativity and thought provoking Storytelling will resonate with all ages to fully gain the understanding and grasp the impact of what’s currently happening in the world relating to political leadership changes, countries exiting from association with other countries (Brexit), Gender Equality, Inequality in poverty and hunger and young and old struggling to connect with each other..
